[Fiction Express] 🆕 New feature in English: My Work Area

Students working in English can now access a new section on the platform: My Work Area.

From this area, they can view the books they’ve read during the school year and, after each chapter, complete specific activities to reinforce their understanding and practice the language.

📚 What are challenges and in which books are they available?

Challenges are interactive activities that unlock automatically after reading each chapter. They are designed to reinforce reading comprehension, grammar and oral skills in English.

This functionality is only available in the new ELT books that include challenges. Older library books do not have them. In My Work Area, pupils will only see the books that include this new functionality.

👉 Projects and traditional activities remain available for all books, both live and library, but challenges are exclusive to the ELT books that have been created with this feature.

🆕Levels

All English books have two levels, covering the full range of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR):

  • Level 1: A2 and A2+
  • Level 2: B1 and B2+
  • Level 3: B2 and C1

✏️ What challenges will students find?

After each published chapter, students will have access to the following challenges:

Challenge 1 – Reading comprehension

  • A 10-question self-correcting quiz based on the chapter read.
  • Students can review their answers directly from the reader.

Challenge 2 – Vocabulary

  • Multiple-choice exercises using the glossary from the text.
  • Students can view their score and review corrected answers.

Challenge 3 – Grammar

  • Practical exercises focusing on language use.
  • Results are shown once the activity is completed.

Challenge 4 – Listening

  • Students listen to an audio clip and fill in the missing words in a text.
  • They can pause and resume the audio as needed.
  • Results are displayed once the activity is finished.

🔁 Challenges are automatically unlocked after reading the chapter.

🆕 Coming soon

  • Pronunciation Challenge: Oral practice and reading-aloud analysis.

These new challenges will help cover the learning needs of ELT students even more comprehensively.

👩‍🏫 What can teachers see?

From the same section, teachers will have access to their students’ progress:

  • View the books each student has read.

  • See the results for each challenge.

  • Listen to pronunciation recordings.

  • Mark open-ended responses.

  • Filter results by class and by book.

🔍 Visual assessment system

Each challenge is displayed with a color code based on the student’s results:

  • 🟢 5–6 correct answers
  • 🟡 3–4 correct answers
  • 🔴 0–2 correct answers
  • ➖ Not completed

This allows you to quickly identify which areas each student needs to improve.

📊 Exporting results

To export student data, teachers should:

  • Access the teacher panel.
  • Go to the challenges section to view results on screen.
  • Select the class and book.
  • Click “View” to see or download results.
